There was a change in itenery, we were supposed to go to the watch warehouse first as the tour guide thinks that it would be safer in the morning. However, when we reached there the shops were not open yet so we proceed to our next destination which is China International Furniture Fair( 中国广州国际家具博览会).
The fair was held at their exhibition hall in Guang Zhou, it is a yearly event. Upon arrival, the tour guides went to get our pass, so we waited for him in the extremely cold weather. Everyone were cruddling together to get warmth from each other. No photos to show how cold we were as i guess everyone were too cold to even take out their cameras, that applies to me!
The exhibition hall was very long and big, it took us quite a while to walk from one end to the other. We started looking around from the 2nd storey where the mordern furnitures were displayed. We took information booklet as we went around. There were many different company, local and overseas, displaying their own furnitures. Some of the furniture were very unique and very creatively designed. This fair allow many of the companies to view their competitors products and maybe from there they could make improvement and also allow buyers to be able to see and compare the varieties of furniture and their prices all at once.

Other than looking at the furnitures, we also observe the people who were there to see and also has interest in buying them. Many of the buyers carry with them a luggage, i guess its for them to put the brochers in or maybe they are from other country and went straight there after touching down, and a calculator.
During the visiting, i saw scenes that we would not normally see in Singapore. Some of them, even those in suit, actually spit indoor on the carpeted floor. This may be normal for them but it makes me think, don't they care how others look at them, especially the foreigners. I was rather disgusted upon seeing these scenes. I do mind if they did it outdoors but doing it in an air-conditioned area with so many people in there, i just feel its very unhygienic.
After the tiring visit and the normal 8 dishes and 1 soup lunch, we headed back to the watch warehouse. As there was a tight schedule, we were only given around 15 minutes to shop there so some of us, including myself, decided to just stay on the bus. After around 20 minutes, some of the girls came running up the bus in a rush and asked the bus driver to close the door. At the next moment, a woman came running up the bus before the driver manage to close the door demanding them to buy what they have choosen. After our tour guides had some commotion and a 'little' talk with the woman, he realised that it was our fault and paid for those earphones so that we could proceed to our next destination.
Had a little banana 'feast' on the bus and the bananas was sponsored by our guide, Mr Yao. I realised i have not really introduce our Singapore guide who accompanied us for the whole of 12 days. This is him!

The next company : Yong Xiang Furniture (永祥家具). Seems like we are looking at furniture the whole day.
The company has 2 factories, a assembly and a distribution. They have a total of 200 staff from the two factories.They are specialized in making sofa, where local specialised designers were hired to design their sofa. It takes 10 days to manufacture a sofa.They have a sales of 2 -3 thousands sofa annully and 80% of these are from overseas customers, mainly from Middle East, Europe and US. The sofas have 1-2 years warranty.
They promote their products through their website (http://www.jiancongmei.com/) and trading company where catalouges were given out for advertising. Like every other business, they faced a lot of problems on the way. One of them is seasonly sales as customers like those from the Middle East has religon matters, therefore, sales during may-august and october- december is slow. Another problem is that customers preferences changes now and then, hence they have to learn to be flexible to change their design to fit in to the perference of the customers. 
I guess this problem has been solved since they came out with the idea of customize the sofa according to what their customers has requested .
